PINK LIP?

Hey everyone! I finally got round to doing my tribute!! The look I recreated was from Alexander McQueen's fall 2007 show. M.A.C did actually collaborate with him to create a line of limited edition products used in his show.... but that was 3 years ago so your best bet is the try a local cco or ebay (DAMN I wish I picked up something instead of thinking meh!!).

LONG LIVE MCQUEEN!

Hope you like it and I am thinking of a glitter look for next time perhaps....we'll see!

MORANGE AND INITIAL THOUGHTS

Hello everyone, so happy I have 5 subscribers!! I am over the moon!!! Anyway to celebrate the fact people are reading this blog I thought I'd post a photo of me rocking Morange lipstick by M.A.C! And like any makeup addict when you get new things......... you have to try them all out the next day- or for me Monday morning. From my H.N's kit I am so far liking the Lancome mascara as I think it really lengthens.... but I'm not loving the Bare Minerals foundation. I've used mineral makeup before so I don't have a problem with application I just find it doesn't cover well or build up.... but I will give it a couple more tries before I give it to my sister haha! And lastly how did I live without M.A.C's 239 and 224 brush!? Its f'in amazing!!

I will hopefully be posting a Alexander McQueen look from 2007 soon and a party look as I have a work do tomorrow. See you soon x x x

HARVEY N' HAUL- M.A.C

So I had x amount to spend at the entire Harvey Nichols beauty floor and I spent it all at M.A.C? Yep! Not sure why but its' the brand I turn to. I kept walking back and forth to NARS but nothing stood apart except from the eyeshadows...... and I seriously have enough!!
M.A.C was absolutely chaotic, so I returned when it was slightly less busy and I asked the artist (sorry can't remember her name, but she was really nice) to basically show me some staple lipsticks, recommend a decent concealer for photography and lastly on a whim I picked up 2 eye brushes.

WHAT I GOT:
LIPSTICKS:
MORANGE (AMPLIFIED)
CYBER (SATIN)
GIRL ABOUT TOWN (AMPLIFIED)
UP THE AMP (AMPLIFIED)
BRUSHES:
239
224
CONCEALERS:
SELECT COVER UP IN NW20 AND NW50

Hope you liked my haul! Its not really stuff I would personally go for but my kit was seriously lacking in lipstick shades. Can't wait to try out Cyber, it looks so cool!

BOOTS AND TOPSHOP HAUL

BOOTS

TOPSHOP

Another haul!

BOOTS:

I went into Boots to stock up on some more stuff for my kit. I got a bottle of surgical spirit to disinfect all my makeup, antiseptic wipes for cleansing hands and 2 empty spray bottles- one for brush cleanser and the other for the surgical spirit.

Whilst browsing the MU section I saw they were selling of Urban Retreat lip kit? for £4.95 instead of £20 odd. The kit includes: a non bleed lip pencil, lip primer pencil, lip exfoliator and plump lip gloss. All for my kit again!

TOPSHOP:

How cute are the earrings?! I'm not usually a huge fan of TS as their prices are a bit steep for a student like me but their jewellery line has always been reasonable and 'decent quality'. £8 and my favourites are the scissors and key :)

HARVEY N' HAUL- LIMITED EDITION BEAUTY BAG

My entire Harvey Nichols haul

CUTE Will Broome bag

The contents inside!

Hey everyone. I've been bad... really BAD (sorry sister, I know you hate me spending money on MU but this is for my kit, promise!) . I only went to into H.N to check out the new M.A.C viva glam lipsticks (I will pick them up another time, the GAGA one was already sold out and they are apparently limited edition for a whole year!) but near the counter I saw a poster about a free goody bag worth £100 pound if you spent £95 on beauty, fragrance or cosmetics. YES. I caved in. But I only got products that my kit needed not for myself, so my conscience feels better! Haha!

Anyway the actual haul will be posted in another post. I thought the goody bag should have its own post as you get so much!!! And we're talking about good brands and actually decent sized samples :)

I HATE COMPUTERS

Apparently my USB cable for my dig' camera has malfunctioned.... argh!!

Hey everyone. My good friend Elly (above) wanted me to do her eye make-up for her art project which is based on make-up addiction. So she asked for a smokey look (doing her eyes today reminded me how I used to do mine.... two years ago...my times have changed!!), which at first I tried to sway her into a more experimental look.... till she told me she actually wanted to keep the make-up for the gig she was going to tonight with my friend (Hi Lauren!).
Since it was for a rock gig I amped up on the black and green which makes her eyes 'pop' and I think really suits her as she normally doesn't do all the crease malarkey.

TO GET THE LOOK:
MAC EYESHADOW - HUMID, BITTER, DARK EDGE SWIMMING AND CARBON
STILA- CHINOIS
BLACK LIQUID LINER
BLACK PENCIL LINER
BLACK MASCARA
CONCEALER AND POWDER TO SET
URBAN DECAY PRIMER POTION
MAC PAINT POT IN BARE STUDY (GIVES ADDED STAYING POWER)

LET DOWN AND OTHER SHENANIGANS

So I was meant to do a MU job today for a model.... but the day before she said the photographer didn't want one. ANNOYING. And didn't help throughout the week I had no updates so I was left pondering if I was doing it all.

Onto more happier news I've joined the world of Model Mayhem (MM) which is basically a networking site for models, photographers, MUA's, stylists etc. I really didn't expect there to be so many different opportunities in Leeds but there is and in fact loads! I've particularly got into contact with some female photographers who are in my kind of shoes wanting to gain experience etc. Which I like the thought of, helping other local creative minds out there and giving me the chance to broaden my client base. I'm currently offering to do the MU as long as its TFCD meaning "time for CD of images", which will improve my portfolio!

I currently have 3 possible strong leads on gigs so will post if I land any :D

SPRING PASTELS

Hey everyone, this look is for art and took me absolutely ages! I like everything apart from the brows, I think they look more chav then couture!

Anyone tempted by Chanel's temporary tattoos (£49)?

INSPIRATIONAL IMAGES

Hello, I did a post awhile ago on inspirational videos and I thought I'd follow up with inspirational images that are on my comp!

As I don't know about you but if I see a striking image I always save it into my comp. Some images are from AGES ago so I don't know where the original source is from. I will add more images in the future and will do another post on inspirational images from magazines as I love collecting fashion houses campaigns or fashion forward editorial stories.

Enjoy!
