L.F RAMBLES - THE COAT

I brought the dig' camera out with me as I planned to go to the museum....which turned into a shopping trip. Oops.

Am I really going to do a blog post about a coat? YES. This is going to be such a nerdy post but to me this was exciting.

To cut it short I was stumbling around the H&M sale and I saw this unusual coat lurking in the rails.... and it turns out to be a super rare LANVIN X H&M (2010) coat. IN THE SALE. I grabbed it and rushed to the changing rooms to crazily ogle over it in private.

I know it's technically H&M but these collaborations are going to be the closet I'm ever going to get to owning designer garments. It was retailed at £200 but was reduced to £100 which I think is quite reasonable. I loved all the small details and the frayed edges just gave it 'that' high fashion look.

Unfortunately it just didn't fit me right (size 12) and as much as I would convince myself in my head to buy it I don't think I'd wear it anytime soon....... pure silk + coat=  DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN. 

Anyway I put it down reluctantly and that is the story of 'THE COAT'.

GOSH- 549 HOLOGRAPHIC, excuse the chips!

H&M- £3.99, I love the mesh/netting transparency detailing- reminds me of Christopher Kane....

Sleek make-up- £5.99, its the Circus palette. Limited edition BTW so get your mitts on it while you can!!

Ardell lashes- £2.99 (TK MAXX only!!!), Lucky find or what?! As these usually retail at the £5 mark! They had a ton of different styles and these are no doubt the best lashes you can get on the high street (these are made from human hair so Shu Uemura/ M.A.C quality- not the rubbish plastic kind!!!). PS. how expensive are lashes getting?! Total rip off!!!!

Converse- £24.99 (TK MAXX), my mum HATES me wearing trainers as she wants me to dress more "girly" which I agree (sort-of) as I do sometimes dress like a 12 year old boy but sometimes ballet shoes and boots don't cut it!

NARS sheer glow foundation (Ceylan)- £29.00, I won't be using it till I finish my sheer matte. I know its pricey but its a really nice foundation!! She chucked in a face and eye primer sample too :)

Zara- £14.99 (sale), I know it looks quite boring in the photo but its full of beautiful decorations techniques especially the sleeves. I know I rave about Zara a lot but they always make really good quality garments (most) that are quite 'classic' in design but always with an edge.

I've actually been buying a lot recently but I've just not been updating my blog with haul posts, as I wanted to test them out first ( I'm no hoarder *coff* but it takes me awhile before I reach for new things). Anyway I will be posting my monthly favourites soon so you can see what new products- or old things I've been liking!

22/05/2010- NARS DAY! I'm wearing NARS sheer matte foundation in Fiji, eye-shadow duo's in Misfit and Kilimanjaro and blush in Torrid! I got a few compliments wearing this which is always nice and excuse the just-got-out-of-shower hair! I don't pull of the Ursula Andress look I'm afaird...

I'm starting to get into H&M again. For awhile I just didn't bother going in cause it was rather 'meh'. Some good stuff nowadays though! I also like how H&M always comes out with cool carrier bags. Yes I'm that sad! And how stunning is Lara Stone (the one in yellow)?!

H&M- £7.99, I think I'll be wearing this on Friday where I'm off to an art show and afterwards off to celebrate the end of high school for everrrrrr!!!

I'm a bit of a hoarder and collect useless things! I love Kate though, she's effortlessly beautiful and an absolute chameleon. I picked this up whilst visiting my friend who works at Topshop... Hi E.S!

I finally got round to checking out the new M.A.C collections. There wasn't any stand out products. I haven't bought any M.A.C in aggggggggges. I walked off with this postcard though... Did I ever tell you I collect their postcards?

OPI original nail envy- £18? I used to have quite good nails then they went all flaky and weak :( I'll tell you if this works or not.

Barry M dazzle dust in Bronze- £4.50, pigmented and great for summer.

Today was so hot!! I like summer primarily because I like to wear sun-glasses. These are my favourite pair by Betsey Johnson and is similar to the much copied Ray Ban wayfarers.

Nars sheer glow sample in Ceylon. Fiji is too dark for me :(

Models Own nail polish in Nude Beige- £5. Boots now stock Models Own btw.

Nars eyeshadow duo in Kilimanjaro- £23, I got this from a blog sale for £10.50 including P&P so pretty good bargain! Nars describes this as icy yellow and icy blue and are both iridescent.

Tropicana pure premium- £2.03 from Sainsbury. I've tried Ruby Breakfast too and I like they are NOT from concentrate!
