DIOR ADDICT LIPSTICK STARRING KATE MOSS INSPIRED MAKEUP

Jonas Akerlund did an amazing job! And I think Moss totally encapsulated the spirit of the Dior woman
Screen-shots from the commercial that captured her look the best
My version! Not sure why I'm looking so glum.... maybe because I'm placing a photo of myself next to Moss!
I break down the entire look in the video! From how to recreate a similar effect to the make-up products to achieve it!!
Please check it out AND read the description box as I said some errors in the video

Hey guys, so this is take 2 of my recreation of Moss's look from the Dior addict lipstick commercial. Not sure why but it seems not as dramatic as I wanted. Comparing to the source image her eyeliner still has a more angular 'blocky' effect compared to mine- I did try!
Anyway the only similar feature I have with Moss is we both have small eyes. So if you have a larger lid space area you will have to fill this space with the liner so that when you relax the eye you can only see the liner on the lid (if you look at the reference photos when Moss 'relaxes' her eyes it's just a solid black on the lid BUT note she does have slightly hooded eyelids which might contribute to this).
I hope you enjoyed this, maybe my look is a more toned down version! But as I mentioned in the video the graphic cat eyeliner isn't about a fluid flick. Her's has a more angular 'straight' block shape (It's a more raised shape).

ALSO not make-up related......but I got my F.A.D results last Friday (seems like forever ago now) and a got a distinction! I really wasn't expecting it but I am really pleased to get such a good outcome from my foundation year.
My results also mean I will be going to Northumbria next year to do graphic design as I've met my conditions (I just needed to pass). I've yet to hear any 'official' news from them so will be postponing any celebrations till I get the OK go!

PHOTO UPDATE 3

22/05/2010- NARS DAY! I'm wearing NARS sheer matte foundation in Fiji, eye-shadow duo's in Misfit and Kilimanjaro and blush in Torrid! I got a few compliments wearing this which is always nice and excuse the just-got-out-of-shower hair! I don't pull of the Ursula Andress look I'm afaird...

I'm starting to get into H&M again. For awhile I just didn't bother going in cause it was rather 'meh'. Some good stuff nowadays though! I also like how H&M always comes out with cool carrier bags. Yes I'm that sad! And how stunning is Lara Stone (the one in yellow)?!

H&M- £7.99, I think I'll be wearing this on Friday where I'm off to an art show and afterwards off to celebrate the end of high school for everrrrrr!!!

I'm a bit of a hoarder and collect useless things! I love Kate though, she's effortlessly beautiful and an absolute chameleon. I picked this up whilst visiting my friend who works at Topshop... Hi E.S!

I finally got round to checking out the new M.A.C collections. There wasn't any stand out products. I haven't bought any M.A.C in aggggggggges. I walked off with this postcard though... Did I ever tell you I collect their postcards?

OPI original nail envy- £18? I used to have quite good nails then they went all flaky and weak :( I'll tell you if this works or not.

Barry M dazzle dust in Bronze- £4.50, pigmented and great for summer.

Today was so hot!! I like summer primarily because I like to wear sun-glasses. These are my favourite pair by Betsey Johnson and is similar to the much copied Ray Ban wayfarers.

Nars sheer glow sample in Ceylon. Fiji is too dark for me :(

Models Own nail polish in Nude Beige- £5. Boots now stock Models Own btw.

Nars eyeshadow duo in Kilimanjaro- £23, I got this from a blog sale for £10.50 including P&P so pretty good bargain! Nars describes this as icy yellow and icy blue and are both iridescent.

Tropicana pure premium- £2.03 from Sainsbury. I've tried Ruby Breakfast too and I like they are NOT from concentrate!

Hope you liked my photo diary. I will be doing another post this week as I'm doing a prom job and also what I'll be wearing to art show/celebrating end of high school. WOO. I'm excited.

KATE MOSS FOR T.S TAKE 2

L.F and M.C (Michelle Cheung) are back again! OK. I am a total perfectionist and I cannot stand looking back at the old shots I did before (do some archiving!). Hot blurred mess. Yuck.

If I say so myself these shots are 1000x better and actually run cohesively now then before. Pressure to do better did make the "bitch" L.F to come a bit but Michelle didn't take it offensively... but if you want something done you got to be (slightly) ruthless right?!

Michelle's skin was quite hard to work with today as it was really dry and flaky but the black and white hides it all... woo. The make-up was just pinky-raspberry stained lips ( I've been loving stains lately) with an intense black smoky eye (all around eyes with lots of eye-liner) and false eyelashes... which I had problems with as I kept sticking Mich's eyelashes stuck together. Practice makes perfect guys!

Overall. Happy? Oui. Oui.

p.s these shots are for media

TOPSHOP KATE MOSS INSPIRED AND SCHIELE RECREATION

Hey everyone these photos are fairly new; the first two is my recreation of the Topshop for Kate Moss ad for a media project. Images I found on the net gave pretty good shots of the makeup so it was fairly easy to re-create- I think the only major difference was the images I based the look on used a berry shade for the lips instead of red.

The last image was for art and is a recreation of an Egon Schiele piece- to give it a twist I went along with the whole sadness theme he projects so I decided to do a black smokey eye and use MAC'S fix + (I recommend water) to make the makeup run.
