L.F DOES A/W - METALLIC SMOKE

Versace Couture Spring/Summer 2012

This is the only close-up of the make-up I could find, loosely inspired... when I look at the other girls the eyes look more intense than the above photo so I changed things up :)
KEY POINTS:
  • Eyeliners make really good bases- just make sure to blend to a thin layer or else eye shadow can 'grab' unevenly. ALSO use eyeliners on top of eye-shadows to intensify areas - for example the outer v and inner v area seen above :)
  • My look uses more 'cooler' tones than the Versace girls, if you want to replicate it identically switch to a peach lipstick, copper eyeshadow and peach/pink blush!
Hey guys, another variation of the smokey eye! I guess the 'twist' with the Versace look was the mix up of different metallics together - bronze/copper on the lids and gold in the inner tear duct area.
The Versace look has always been really glamorous - so think really big lashes, nude lips and a lot of smoke!
Remember to keep to a shape (round or 'cat' style) and building up in layers is the best way to create a 'finished' result. I've added black the the inner v just to intensify the eyes even more but this is optional.

L.F DOES A/W - SPIDER LASH

Pat McGrath showing you how it's done. Best tip I picked up from the video was just to 'paint' the lashes by just patting/dabbing on the mascara to build the layers rather than combing them though each time.
SOURCE
I'd say this is a more 'cleaner' version of the 'spider lash' look but I love the simplicity of the lash and bold lips look.
SOURCE
Charlotte Free looks AMAZING. The lashes border that gross but cool line.. I personally LOVE it.
HOW TO CREATE THE SPIDER LASH:
  1. GIVE YOUR LASHES A REALLY GOOD CURL USING EYELASH CURLERS AND SET THEM WITH A MASCARA THAT WILL HOLD THIS- I USED A WATERPROOF ONE
  2. NEXT I APPLIED INDIVIDUAL LASHES RANDOMLY TO THE TOP LASHES, THIS COULD BE DONE WITH THE LOWER ONES TOO
  3. NOW GRAB A MASCARA THAT DOESN'T SET TOO QUICKLY (E.L.F) AND START BUILDING- I DID ONE INITIAL COAT/COMB THROUGH AND THEN USING MCGRATH'S METHOD I USED STARTED TO DAB ON THE MASCARA TO 'SET' MY DESIRED FORMATION
  4. TO THICKEN THEM EVEN MORE BETWEEN THE LAYERS I DUSTED ON LOOSE POWDER AND REPEATED THE MASCARA METHOD TO SLOWLY BUILD THE LASHES
  5. KEEP GOING TILL YOU ARE HAPPY- I THINK MINE WAS AROUND 6 COATS
Hey guys, this make-up is more of a 'trend' one but I really enjoyed creating this. It was fun to go mascara crazy and breaking a make-up 'faux paus'.
Since the eyes are so full on - I just perfected the skin, defined the brows and for the lips I exaggerated the shape and patted on an eye-shadow on top of my lipstick to create a matte velvet look. I also used a gold glitter cream to highlight the cupids bow and tear duct area.
This look has the looks wrong but right kind of vibe but I hope you like it :)

L.F RAMBLES - HAUL AND I'M 20

MANIC PANIC SEMI-PERMANENENT HAIR COLOUR CREAM - ENCHANTED FOREST AND LIE LOCKS
A bit of an impulsive buy (like always) but I've always heard good things about them, the results always look INSANE - super bright, vivid and it's all natural! I'm looking forward to using 'Enchanted Forest' for that 'mermaid' look. I'll post something up when I get round to using them :)
ESSIE- PURE PEARLFECTION (TOPCOAT) AND BROOCH THE SUBJECT
 SILVER, GREEN, PINK MICRO SHIMMER.....WIN
PHILOSOPHY- SPARKLING CRANBERRY SET
I got this set mainly because the lip gloss reminds me of MAC's 'Revenge is Sweet', just a nice berry tinted sheen. Oh and I love Philosophy's lip-shines because they smell great and 'non sticky'.
SAM UBHI Y INTIAL PENDANT NECKLACE
Simple. I like.
TATTY DEVINE IVY LEAVES EARRINGS IN BLACK
Aside from my love for silver jewelry, I also like jewelry in black. I saw these in the sale and I fell in love with them - black + simple design + hand made= <3

Hey guys, first of all I'm back at uni! Back to being a poor student *looks above at haul*. I *really* can't haul anymore and I don't think I will have the time to go mooch around town (let's not talk about online shopping) as this semester sounds brutal!
Oh and I turned 20 yesterday. I can't believe it, time flies so quickly! To 'celebrate' (I still don't like fuss over birthdays) I went to see 'The Artist' with a good friend and I didn't tell him what it was about till we had bought the tickets and was sat down - which is a bit mean, but I was scared he wouldn't want to watch it (silent film- not exactly typical Hollywood blockbuster). SO glad he liked it - and he thanked me for taking him to see it as he wouldn't of otherwise! I got teary eyed watching it and I recommend you guys check it out - Jean Dujardin is AMAZING.
Back with a look very soon! Oh and I forgot to mention L.F MAKE-UP has had a little revamp - all the new images you see are actually from an unsuccessful illustration project- I like to recycle ;)
