UNNECESSARY STUDENT PURCHASE OF THE WEEK 5

I got this for £1.99 from them make-up 'carts'. Frosty sheer mint? It's a nice subtle 'wash' shade for everyday.
GLITTAH!
They've been around for awhile but I wanted to see them in real life first, luckily the whole range is now stocked in Boots. I'm VERY impressed, good quality and SUPER soft bristles (best natural mimicking synthetic hair brushes I've come across). I definitely recommend you guys check them out.
So far so good, I do have combination skin but I often find most cleansers that are aimed for combo skin too harsh and actually makes my skin even worse.
They had a little pop shop at the foyer of my uni' so I decided to check them out. You guys know I'm into hand made stuff. I'm not really into gold tones but the earrings (£4) reminds me of little acorns.
Still collecting them! I think from now on they will be featuring comics/graphic stories as well as illustrations which is pretty cool.
Such a stunning book. Lidberg is the BOMB.

QUODLIBET BY KATJA SPITZER
Sorry borrowed image! Mine is safe away in its tube! I've recently started to collect prints for my future 'home' (errrr have fun waiting). I think I like this because no blacks been used..... and I'm usually a black outline hoe!

When I mention "I've not been buying much lately" it means the following week I end up with a massive haul. I won't mention it again ;)

L.F DOES A/W - GOING DOWN

Alana Zimmer by Miles Aldridge for Numéro No. 83 May 2007
Damn random flecks of glitter on my face :(
Here you can see the eye shaping better
KEY PRODUCTS:
NYX LIP PENCIL - CABARET
ILLAMASQUA POWDER EYE SHADOW - SYNTH
ALL OTHER EYE COLOURS SEEN IS FROM VARIOUS SLEEK PALETTES (I'VE DEPOTTED THEM ALL SORRY)
MAC SCULPTING POWDER - SCULPT
TIPS:
  • INSTEAD OF BLEACHING YOUR EYEBROWS, DRAW YOUR EYEBROWS SO THAT THEY ARE ROUNDED TO A DOWNWARD SHAPE - WE WANT THE OPPOSITE OF LIFT.
  • CONTOUR YOUR EYES SO THAT YOU CREATE A ROUNDED SHAPE TO MIMIC A DEEP SOCKET- PAY ATTENTION TO THE OUTER CORNERS AND BLEND DOWNWARDS TO ADD TO THE 'SLEEPY' EFFECT.
  • TO CREATE THAT DRAMATIC SHARP LIP, PAINT A LAYER OF CONCEALER ROUND YOUR LIP LINE, BLEND ONLY THE OUTSIDE EDGES SO THAT THERE'S STILL A VISIBLE 'LIGHTER' LINE.
Hey guys, I hate starting posts with the usual "so busy with uni"..... but I AM SO BUSY WITH UNI.
Deadlines galore and lots of time slaving away on the macs (because I'm rubbish.) Anyway I did the usual stumble through my Tumblr for inspiration and I hit upon this. SO ME. Bleached brows, prominent cheek bones, deep eye socket..... All of which I don't have :(
My aim  for this weeks look was just to shape the eye so that it had a droopy appearance and play with creating a deeper socket.
Also hello new followers!! I'm *nearly* up to 50!

UNNECESSARY STUDENT PURCHASE OF THE WEEK 4

 CADBURY'S CREME EGG (55P)
These are my guilty pleasure 'treats' but I'm going to refrain from getting anymore because last year I had a MASSIVE stress binge on them. Was SO bad.
KORRES LIP BUTTER - WILD ROSE (£6.00)
I really like it so far, colour and sheen for days I don't want gloss.

L'OREAL INFALLIBLE EYE-SHADOW- BRONZE GODDESS (£6.99)
I LOVE these formulas - creamy and pigmented!

I've not done one of these in ages! I've not been buying too much to be honest especially compared to last semester. Plus I have TOO much make-up and I really need to use everything up.
Everything shown is under £10 - so treat yourself!

L.F DOES A/W - ORANGE GRUNGE AND RAMBLE

More Charlotte Free love! I was more focused with her eye make-up for this weeks look
KEY PRODUCTS:
SUGARPILL PRESSED EYE SHADOW - FLAMEPOINT AND LOVE+
RIMMEL SPECIAL EYES EYELINER PENCIL - GINGER TEA (AS A BASE)
MAC PIGMENT - GRAPE (LIPS)

Hey guys, I actually did this look awhile ago but I didn't want to post it up as I wasn't thrilled with it... anyway it's up! Something different and I don't think I've featured much orange here.
This is not the sexiest look ever but orange is eye-shadow is actually really flattering - I might do a more wearable version at some point as this is a bit 'grungey-esque'.
To recreate I used a warm brown eyeliner as a base around the eyes and set this with a matching eye-shadow. Around the edges, buff the orange eye-shadow around the eyes and on the lower lid to add depth I added some red. I was a bit undecided about the lips - so anything you want really! I decided to dig out my pigments and mix something up - not sure it ties in well though!
RAMBLE:
I couldn't contain my urge any longer and I had to dye my hair. It wasn't smooth sailing at all. I foolishly decided to bleach my hair when I had stuff going on (not concentrating) and me being a noob - my ends ended up lopsided! I had to bleach them again to make them even and my hair felt so bad afterwards - literally like straw.
Anyway Manic Panic dyes actually conditions your hair since it's a vegetable dye so I  left it on overnight to make sure I got a really good payoff. In the morning the colour looked a bit patchy as I reckon I didn't use enough of the dye. So I had to dye my hair again for another 5 hours or so.
Skipping to the end - the above is how it turned out. I LOVE IT - but I'm not too bothered about maintaining it. I wash my hair far too often so I know it'll fade out- so far so good though it's really nice and subtle grey/lilac tones to my ends :)
I FELT LIKE A HOOKER WITH THIS ON. This was actually based on a singer and yeah it looks nothing like her, so I contemplated it might be a good valentines day look. No. I really doubt any girl wants to look that full on. I think the lips is the only thing I got right *hint hint*. I might do something similar at some point.
Oh you can see how the colour has faded here, depending on the light the lilac tones vary- I love it and my ends feel back to normal really, phew!
