PHOTOS YOU HAVEN'T SEEN

 Playing with different shapes
A more wearable make-up- focusing on the lower lash line
Love the two extremes, think this was my bleached brows period
This was the actual look from the PLAY post. I'm not keen on the brows, what do you guys think?
Playing with strong elongated brows with anchoring eyeshadow
 Messing around with eyeliner
I did finish this look but in the end photographs my skin was just a horrendous flaky mess that just ruined the whole look. The flicks are not to my standards either!
Want to see the full face from PLAY 2? There you go!

Hey guys, just thought I'd share these photographs with you. The reason why I haven't posted full blog posts on most of them is.... I'm just not happy with the end images! So before I wash everything off I like to take a quick snap with my webcam to evidence my wasted efforts!

TUMBLEWEED

I've succumbed to the world of Tumblr, but don't despair (a bit dramatic I know) I'm not ditching blogger! TUMBLEWEED isn't exactly a 'blog'. I'm not actually going to upload/post my own content, I'm just going to be re blogging things I like or inspiring to me. So a bit like a online collage blog! Plus with Tumblr I don't have to worry about sources etc.
I've named it TUMBLEWEED (play on Tumblr name) as I didn't want it to be just focusing on make-up or art and design. It's like a visual diary so it will be have a mix of references including  film, music etc. BUT hopefully inspiring nevertheless!
I've been posting on TUMBLEWEED for awhile now so there's a couple of pages you guys can already sift through.
So if you want to, check out TUMBLEWEED! And perhaps follow as I often update once a day!

EMILY HEWITSON'S CIRCUS COLLECTION PHOTOSHOOT- FINAL IMAGES

Body art not done by me
Love this image
 The designer (middle)- Emily Hewitson
I make an appearance (I am so short dammit)!

ALL IMAGES BELONG TO EMILY HEWITSON

These are not the final edited ones. I will probably get hold of them at some point but for now I don't think it matters too much. And I would of personally edited some of them if only I knew how to!
ALSO I have some exciting new things to show and tell you guys about in the next couple of days. And it looks like June will be a good month for me as I've been getting a few prom make-up requests!
 Tres exciting x x x

EMILY HEWITSON'S CIRCUS COLLECTION PHOTOSHOOT- BACKSTAGE

Break time!
Me at work with my concentration face on
J.M as 'evil clown'.
Sugarpill and M.U.F.E 12 flash colour case saved the day!
 Blending!
For the lips I decided to fade the upper lip which I think worked well
E.B as 'cheeky clown'
Her tights inspired this make-up and coincidentally my M.U.F.E case had the exact same matching colours.
I divided her face in two halves and concentrated the colour at the centre and then faded them out to blend into her bare skin. For the lips we reversed the colour ways, which was actually E.B's idea and works with the clown idea
 H.C as 'doll clown'
For this look I painted on some bottom lashes and focused on the rounded bright pink cheeks placed on the apples. For the lips I pressed on a matte eyeshadow on the centre of her lips to create a doll-like mouth appearance
 M.G as 'happy clown'
Using a triangle stencil which I prepared earlier I just placed the triangles onto her eye area and filled it in using the turquoise shade from my M.U.F.E case and for the lips I used an O.C.C lip tar which I don't recommend as it feathered like mad! This make-up was inspired by the diamond tile pattern on her garment
S.H as 'geeky clown'
Using the gold Collection 2000 glitter liner (LOVE these) I just patted this around her eye concentrating at the lash line area. The lips I used a dark berry shade to tie in with her garment
All laughs and no tantrums!
 In character mode!
Clowning about *badoosh*
After a long days work!

PHOTOGRAPHY AND GARMENTS BY EMILY HEWITSON

Hey guys, I actually did this shoot on Thursday but I've been too lazy trying to edit photos as I had to trawl through over 400! Anyway my good friend Emily Hewitson asked me if I would be interested in doing the make-up for her circus themed fashion collection, and of course I said yes!
We had a brief discussion the day before on plans on the make-up, but we pretty much made them up on the spot with the help of her garments and the themes each one had (p.s I am not responsible for the horrible names for each one!!!).
I really enjoyed the shoot as this is actually my first one where I could have a lot of freedom and input and create more fashion inspired looks.
The day was very intensive working from 10-4. I was also very fortunate to have models whose skin were flawless! I had such skin envy!!! And obviously the environment was very nice (thank-you guys for looking after me!) and I enjoyed helping out my friend (known since 6th form) who is very talented and hardworking (she ended up taking responsibility as photographer aswell as directing everyone!)

The final images I will upload in a couple of days, so for now enjoy these behind the scenes shots :)

HAULIN' 8

Thought I'd show you a most recent photo of myself. I look 'OK' considering I had an all night bender the day before (celebrated F.A.D being over)
 ZARA- £4.99
I really like the illustrations and the mid length sleeve detail
FRENCH ELLE- 20P (ALL MONEY GOES TO CHARITY)
I've picked up a few issues awhile ago and then whilst passing my colleges library recently they had even more back issues (30+) for sale. So like the massive hoarder that I am, I spent a good while picking out which issues to get (good make-up/fashion articles or editorials).
Beth is actually one of my tutors but I wasn't aware she made jewelry until I stumbled onto her site. I'm still on my hand made crafting kick and when I saw that she made hand stamped inscription rings for £40.00, I thought it was pretty reasonable and unlike costume jewelry a worthwhile investment. You can decide on what word/s you want on the ring. I decided on having the word 'ring' on my ring (I still find it amusing).
I've been wearing my ring non-stop and I'm considering getting a few more. And I believe they are sterling silver and hand made from scratch too.
LET'S SUPPORT INDIE WORKING ARTISTS!
You can read my full post here.
M.A.C- Rocker Chick “Look in a Box”- £30.50 (airport exclusive)
I asked my mum to get me this as it's such a good deal! I'll replicate the look above using the products soon. To see/read what products are inside click here.
THE KILLS- 31ST OF MAY AT LEEDS MET
I think this is the most impulsive buy I've ever made lol. I was checking out their page on Facebook and I saw that they were going to be playing in Leeds.... further investigation showed there were still tickets left. BAM. I have two tickets! I'm going with Elly Steer and I'm really excited. Still a gig newbie, this will be my second one ever!

P.H.G.S FASHION SHOW 2011

I learnt so much about symmetry and dealing with different eye shapes!
I did take photos of the other girls too, but these are the ones I'm most satisfied with

THE LOOK:
FRESH SKIN- USED MOISTURISER ONLY
BOLD RED LIPS WITH SOFT EDGES- USING COTTON BUD TIP TO BLEND EDGES
STRONG BLACK GRAPHIC LINER
BROWS- GROOMED WITH CLEAR GEL
AND DEPENDING ON CIRCUMSTANCES A FEW HAD CONCEALER, SOFT BRONZER AND BROWS FILLED IN

KEY PRODUCTS USED:
E.L.F CREAM EYELINER IN BLACK- DO NOT RECOMMEND PERSONALLY AS IT DRIES OUT FAR TOO QUICKLY
M.U.F.E FLASH COLOUR IN RED

Hey guys, so after I handed in all my F.M.P work for college I had to rush to help out at my ex high schools fashion show. Big thanks to my textiles teacher for asking me to help out (contacts DO work).
I think me and B.G (just the two of us in charge) did roughly around 30 girls. We had originally planned to do some sort of stenciling using lace but B.G was not around (she had bought make-up specifically for the show/had the 'special' lace), so I had to do some improvising and take charge as we had a few models waiting around anyway.
I decided to do a look that was classic and 'fool proof' and would universally suit all the models and the range of garments (we had year 7's to 13's).
The only major problem I had on the day was the cream liner failing (in hindsight I should of checked before the day if it was still usable). Since it was such a key product in the look, it made mine and B.G job harder as it just didn't glide on and was hard to build up.
Overall I really enjoyed the experience and gave me a little insight on how fashion show make-up works, with the pressure of time and x amount of girls to do.
