L.F DOES A/W - FRECKLE GLAM

JEREMY SCOTT S/S 2012
Val Garland (the make-up God) talks us through how to get that fun sun-kissed freckled Daisy Duke look. Oh and Charlotte Free's just adorable as always.
NINA RICCI A/W 2012 - Soft hazy eyes and bitten lips, so glam!
I didn't want the freckles to overpower this look so I used more bronzer patted on top to give it a softer appearance.
A mish mash of S/S and A/W! It's quite fun doing a 'typical' winter-esque make-up but with bronzed skin and freckles :)
KEY PRODUCTS:
NARS BRONZING POWDER - LAGUNA (SUMMER IN A PAN)
MAC EYE-SHADOW - SHROOM AND WEDGE
17 EYEBROW SHAPER - NATURAL BROWN (I USED THIS ON MY BROWS AND FOR THE FRECKLES)
NO7 PERFECT LIPS PENCIL - FIRE (OUTER)
MAC LIPSTICK - CYBER
WATERPROOF MASCARA - BEST FOR HOLDING UP CURLS

HOW TO FAUX THE FRECKLES:
  • FOR THE COMPOSITION OF YOUR DOTS, SYMMETRY IS NOT YOUR FRIEND - THINK IRREGULAR BUT ON THE RIGHT PLACES.
  • FRECKLES USUALLY APPEAR WHERE THE SUN NATURALLY HITS YOU- SO ON TOP OF YOUR NOSE AND CHEEKS.
  • TO KEEP THEM LOOKING NATURAL THEY SHOULD BE A MIX OF SHAPES AND SIZES.
  • IF YOU FIND YOUR FRECKLES TOO OBVIOUS TRY PATTING THEM WITH YOUR FINGER TO SOFTEN THE INTENSITY OR DUST ON EXTRA BRONZER TO THE AREA TO BLUR IT OUT.
  • USE EYELINERS/ LIP PENCILS/ EYE BROW PENCILS (NO SHIMMER) TO GET A RANGE OF TONES AND SET WITH POWDER TO AVOID ANY MOVEMENT.
  • LIGHT HANDS PLEASE! OR THEY'LL END UP AS MOLES!
Hey guys! This is actually a scheduled post... GUYS I'M ACTUALLY PLANNING POSTS. Tutorial week is a blessing for blogging.
Anyway as you are probably well aware, it's currently fashion week (or was) which means my Tumblr is flooded with the latest looks from the catwalks for F/W 2012.
The Nina Ricci look caught my eye as I love a good old hazy brown eye - it's like tired glam! The lips are also a good twist to the classic perfected lips with the added bitten fade - mines less punchy with the colour though.
The freckle inspiration actually came from reading my latest Glamour issue as they have a page dedicated to the freckle trend with tips from Charlotte Tilbury (another runway pro.) I've never done faux freckles on here before, so here it is!
Hope you guys try the freckle look out. It's actually really subtle looking and perfect if you want to mix up your make-up look :)
